Hey Ya'll! Who is ready for sweater weather?! I am ready for sweaters, flannels, and boots! Unpopular opinion I am not a PSL fan (I know crazy right haha) but I love apple cider or a good cup of hot coffee!
Fall is probably my favorite season to decorate for! I love the warm tones and the smell of all the candles! In this blog post I am going to show some examples of decorating your home for fall. As most of you know I am a huge blue and white collector so you are going to see that mixed into fall decor!
Lets start with my living room! I am using pics from my house this year and then when I lived on the river last year so you are going to see two different spaces!
The pic above is in my current living room. Its very neutral with pops of blue. I love to use the same base pieces for every season and switch out the filler items for the appropriate season.
So my center piece for my coffee table I have a dough bowl that was my Great Grandmas that my grandma and mom used for their fruit! I love using sentimental pieces like that. I added orange and green pumpkins with straw and pinecones to fill it!
The rest of the items stay out all the time.
Behind my coffee table beside the fireplace I have my blue and white chinoiserie vase on a mahogany pedestal, my personalized crock with my snake plant, and a sage green pumpkin. I just popped the pumpkin in front of the two blue and white pieces! The two blue pieces stay there all year long.
So the next pics are from the river last year. I used a lot of the same pieces as you will see in the next pics!
The pic above is the same coffee table styled totally different! I used more gold at the river than I currently do.
Here I have a square gold tray with candle sticks, a bird, books, and some beautiful vintage coasters. You may recognize the blue bowl with the florals, it is the same one at the bottom of my coffee table now. I popped some velvet pumpkins in it to transform it to fall. I have our family bible as well which I still use. I love the pop of orange here for fall! This is a simple way to add that warmth to a space.
Lets talk Dining Room Spaces.. At my home now I have a buffet that I have styled for fall.
In the pic above I have styled the buffet for fall! I have always wanted a buffet with brass candle sticks and globes on each side. It is very colonial which I have really grow to love! Here I have my globes and candle sticks with a sage green taper.
In the center I have a stack of my fav books about blue and white china. On top of the books is my Mackenzie Childs pitcher filled with some warm tone fall florals and a mini blue and white pumpkin. Underneath of the buffet I have a picnic basket with a Makenzie Childs bow. Mom gave Jesse and I that basket on our wedding night and filled it with lots of goodies! I love seeing it used in our home now.
My dining table at the river. So I didn't have a buffet at the river but I did have a beautiful table that I decorated last year.
In the pic above I used the same pitcher as this year but I had a stem of blue velvet pumpkins! (Now I need to find those to add to my pitcher this year! Hahaha) I used a round basket to help shape my centerpiece. I had a white pumpkin, a Blue Onion Creamer and Sugar, and one of my fav pieces, my blue and white duck decoy. Jesse and I found this treasure on one of our first antiquing trips together!
All of this could easily be changed season to season with some different stems in the pitcher and removing the pumpkin and adding something appropriate for that season!
Lets talk kitchen decorating in my current home!
So I have limited counter space right now in my kitchen but my mom gave me a butcher block (shown above) she had in our house growing up. This gave me a little more space for decorating! If I don't have something baked the pic below shows how I would style my butcher block for fall!
Ok so we all a know the right candle can set a whole mood in your home. I currently have my Rewined candle going but I will soon switch that out for a apple or pumpkin candle! I also have the GAHT china wick cutters displayed which are a must if you are a candle lover! Cutting your candles wick helps make them smoke less so you can enjoy the full scent of your candle!
The blue and white pumpkin is an antique find from one of my trips that I love to fill with candy. The napkin holder is Makenzie Childs with my decorative napkins. GAHT has some new fall cocktail and lunch napkins otw! Holding up all of these goodies is a mini cutting board stand that gives some dimension!
Thank you so much for reading! Jesse and I are looking forward to cooler weather and deer season of course! Stay tuned for more blog posts coming soon! If you have a particular topic you want me to talk about let me know!

To kick off blogging again our first topic is a GAHT's best seller and what I literally consider my bread and butter of the business lol! That is... you guessed it SWEET GRACE! We have carried Bridgewater's Sweet Grace scent for 2 years now and it is the best! So lets talk about why I love this company and different ways to use this scent in your day to day life!

1. Take a empty spray bottle and fill it with half Sweet Grace laundry detergent, half water. Shake well and you have created the best linen spray! I use this to freshen my bedding in between washes, my shower curtain, carpet, scatter rugs, couch, basically anything that is fabric!

One of my favorite tricks for making the old new again is greenery. Whether it is a antique teapot, bowl, ginger jar greenery will brighten up the piece. For example I found this old bowl at an antique mall that has crazing (cracks) all the way around. It can't be used as a bowl anymore obviously but it made the perfect planter for my succulents!
Another way to modernize your antiques is adding some metallic especially gold. To me a gold tray, vase, etc.. will make something a little dull bright again. This gold bamboo tray with the mirrored bottom adds the perfect amount of modern to the area. On the tray I placed an old cracked and broken teapot with pink tulips for spring, a blue and white planter with moss and a birds nest and a few more antique blue and white pieces.
My next tip is shelving. Whether it is and off shelf or new mixing the old and new is simple. Here I took this antique shelf and placed one of my favorite paintings, a gold vase, and a bright teal blue bird figurine. Adding this new elements to the old shelf make it new again. If it was a more modern shelf I would have done a antique figurine, teacup.. etc then the painting.
Thank y'all so much for the support on this new adventure! I am enjoying sharing my style and my passion for antiques. From the beginning of my business my goal has always been to make people slow down and appreciate the old and simple things.
]]>My china cabinet is a antique painted with white chalk paint with gold knobs. The dishes inside are mostly ones I have found on my antiquing journeys. I used pink as one of my accent colors that us carried throughout the house. I will be doing a post later on about what I have inside of the china cabinet.
To the left of my china cabinet I have a bamboo ladder with some decorative blankets. I also have 2 blue and white vases on the floor with faux flowers/greenery in them. I love adding greenery into a space it adds a lively essence to me! The jars on the floor are reproduction pieces but are just as great.
On top of my china cabinet I have 2 more reproduction blue and white vases. The goose is one my Grandaddy carved and above that the boat he carves as well. I love mixing the darker wood with the bright white cabinet. The contrast between the two draw your eye to the space.
The bottom right of my china cabinet I have some of my grandaddy's fishing stuff and a vintage painted decoy. I had never seen a blue and white duck decoy but I know it was meant to come home with me! hahaha I also have another reproduction ginger jar on the ground as well.
Right beside the china cabinet I have the dining room. The table is one we found at an antique shop as well as the chairs. I did a palm leaf runner across the table with a blue willow table setting and straw tray in the center. I love mixing the different patterns and textures in a space. I consider blue a neutral kinda of like denim is how I always explain it to people. Same goes for green.
Moving on to what I have on the table. In the center of the table is my Mackenzie Childs Pitcher. I have the Royal Check which is the traditional pattern but in the new blue color. In that I have a variety of pink flowers and lambs ear. I added a few more nicknacks like the koi fish and pineapple to fill the tray.
For my table setting I did 2 settings at the head of the table. I used a glass charger with gold trim (that is the largest plate) Above that is a reproduction blue and white floral plate and then my favorite blue willow plate. The napkin rings were another antiquing adventure find as well as the napkins. The glasses are Wedgwood from my mom and dads wedding.
I am so excited to start sharing my decor! Next blog post will be the kitchen so stay tuned! Make sure to follow on facebook and instagram to see when I post!
